I don't have the .45 on so I didn't use the pouch.
That 48 star flag turned out to be a LOT larger then I thought it was. It's a naval flag, so I guess it won't be hanging on my wall after all.
Here it is on the sofa. I put the Garand on it for an idea of the size.

why's the flag backwards?

Wear it. Wear it all. A few hours of being uncomfortable will remind you of what these vets had to wear for most days for up to four years.

Yeah, that is a good point. This is a big part of why we are doing this.

WW2 footlocker.
Didn't know what this was exactly when I saved it from the Placervile dump when I was 17. Just thought it was a really cool box that would be nice to hold stuff. I knew it was a footlocker but didn't now it was ww2. Saw a few and realized it was ww2 last year. I think I am going to try to restore it, it was beat up pretty bad when I got it, and I've used it for holding ATV parts, a painting booth, a work bench, a seat.... anyway, it needs some work but I found plans to rebuild it and my parents both restored furniture for years so I have some good help.

I don't think I've ever seen such a travesty in my life as that Frankenstein of a Browning Automatic Rifle.

I'm going to go weep now.

Some pics i took awhile back. I have a Thompson that i got in trade with Hairy apple in place of the M14 know. I know the Garand was more common among infantrymen than the Thompson, but i should be getting a TM M14 sometime soon (or a 2ndBatt Garand)

Gotta get a correct M1 helmet

Edit-Im still retrohead, had some problems with my other account

Should have got a med jacket instead of a large, but it's OK. It may shrink a bit when I wash it too.

The whole time I was taking these I had a friend....

These belong in the Marine Raider thread Smile

I got mine today, and had a hard time trying to fit the cover to the helmet. The cover doesn't have a tight fit.

Sweet! I have a buddy at work that has a few 1940's Underwood typewritters that he keeps saying he'll give me one... I need to bug him more! That's very cool. The backboard was only $20! I thought it would be cool for either the mortar or the .30 cal.
