I'd have to say that the TM AK is the best base gun and platform to upgrade. It's solid out of the box, even more solid with the metal bodies and such you can add on.
VFCs, while being steel and very solid, have a shitty hop up design. Range does not even compare to the other guns
I can't say much for CA and ICS other than their hops aren't comparable to the TM in anyway. |

AK's are my favorite by far.
Not only sex, reliable, and accurate...
They're also the easiest gearbox to work on in my opinion.
The design only has one flaw, the motor is attatched to the gearbox by a motor cage, and the grip is attatched to the motor cage. So whenever your moving with it, its slightly tugging. Not a major problem what so ever, unless you smash it on a rock or anything. So the AK is an amazing beast.
Amazingly accurate, beautiful hop up. The long barrel will let the BB's fly forever. No need for a tightbore.
Stock Marui gearbox can hold an m120 for days without any problems internaly.
Downside, not that many external upgrades you can do to make it look basic. Oh well...

which one?
Otis's is gonna be the most expensive out of the ones shown so far with nearly a grand. For Micheal's, no idea. but I'd guess around 500. For mine, no clue. The Rail, Scope, and bipod combined is about the price of a TM AK with a few mags and a battery. _________________ ~ Josh

Inokatsu AIM Wood Kit.... From Johny. For a Maruzen CA870.
Systema gearbox.... $100?
Not that expensive. _________________

Johnny, would it be safe to call your baby an AIMS-74, or would "romy 74" be better. The clothes-hanger side folder but lack of forward vertical grip is confusing me.
This thread makes me want an AK even more.

Its a Romanian version of a 74. I want to get a good RPK front end and make it in to a Romanian RPK PARA. _________________

Very nice guys.
Andrew, the TMs are Plastic right?
was looking at the Real Sword just for pure authenticity, but 295 fps?
wtf? Changing the spring in that would pump out the plasticos faster right?
I dunno why but if I am paying 2-300 on a gun, I REQUIRE METALS! and not flimsy .003mm aluminum haha. _________________ If you spell Sater wrong on Google it doesn't say, "Did you mean Sater?" It simply replies, "Run while you still have the chance." |

I've used my stock TM AK's as a foot bridge to cross creeks...
Used it as a walking stick to climb the hill...
And chase down nightblade.... Multiple times. _________________
