The picture is pretty dark and crappy but the only one I really have of my friend and I. I'll have to take some more pictures this weekend.

History Channel film shoot 2004

This ones up at Forest Hill - Shot with film. (Some historians mistook this one for a real vintage WWII photograph.)

Is there a website that any of you know of that breaks down what was worn during those time periods?

I've searched high and low and I'm guessing that either A) I'm typing in the wrong stuff or B) there isn't such a website.

Thanks.

DONT use wikipedia, they have alot of false information. It really depends on what you want to be. There were so many different ranks, branches that all wore completly different uniforms. Start out by typing German WWII late war impression, or early war impression etc. Same with american.

Heres some photos some photos ive already posted in the gear whores thread but what the hell

Late war Luftwaffe Feld Division MG gunner

Thanks Tobin.
Yeah Wikipedia wasn't my first choice.
Thanks though, I'm sure I'll be back with more questions.
Thanks again!

There's these things called "books" They are quite rare, especially ones with the correct information on this topic. Do not rely on the internet for this topic. Are you interested in German, American, English, Canadian, Japanese, Italian, Dutch, Hungarian, Australian, etc?

There is 'grown up' and then there is 'mature'.

I was not being rude, just to the point. I've been into WWII history and collecting for most of my life. There are alot of books out there on this topic and I've found there are very few accurate books on the subject of WWII uniforms in general.

So then, what information are YOU looking for? I might be able to help guide you in the right direction so you don't end up looking like a "farb" at your first WWII event.

Thanks. Started collecting in the early 90's. Most of the GI stuff is original since there were no reproductions availible. The German stuff is 50/50 real and repro. The German field gear is all real as well. This is just a fraction of my collection. I'll post up more as I have to dig it out of storage and photograph it.
