SacAirsoft Game Play Rules
1) Engagement Distance:
AEGS
Because people own airsoft weapons that differ in power the minimum
engagement distance is set at 20 feet. At this distance, a person with
a stock AEG will still have enough power behind a bb for his/her
opponent to notice that they have been hit.
A) If a person gets below 20 feet from an
opponent, he is given the option of calling out par lay or to step back
a few feet before opening fire. Calling/Accepting par lay automatically
sends both players to the respawn area.
B) If a person gets closer than 15 feet
from an opponent, he is given the option of calling out a “bang kill”,
offer par lay, wait until the opponent is out to 20+ feet, or step back
until the opponent is 20+ feet away from the opponent. A single person
may call out bang kills on more than one member of the opposing team.
C) If a person calls a “bang kill”,
“surrender”, “par lay”, or calls out his opponent – regardless of
whether the opponent felt/heard a bb hit them or not, the opponent must
honor his/her opponent’s call.
D) If a person is not sure that they will not
hit the opponent’s face, they must not take the shot unless their
opponent is 20 or more feet away and behind a bush/hiding place or if
their opponent is more than 100 feet away.
Airsoft Sniper Rifles
A) Players using a single shot airsoft
sniper rifle has a minimum engagement distance of 100 feet regardless
of wether the airsoft rifle is upgraded or not.
2) What counts as a “HIT”
A) If a BB hits a player in any body part they are to call themselves out.
B) If a person’s
clothing/shoes/hat/gloves, or any other gear is hit, the players must
call themselves out.
C) While most people think that shots to the
weapons must not count. SacAirsoft rules that anything held by the
person is an extension of him/herself. Therefore, if a player’s weapon
is shot, they should call theirselves out.
D) At times, a person might not know that they
have been hit. If a fellow player sees that person be hit, they are to
let the player that was hit know that they are out. In addition, if an
opponent calls a player out, that player must comply. People who are to
call an opponent out must be absolutely sure that they hit the player
that they are calling out.
*Players who are hit must call out “HIT!” as loud and as many times as
possible. That way their opponent will know that the player is already
out. Once a person acknowledges the hit, they are required to move out
of the playing field and head directly to the respawn area (if
applicable). People who are out of the game must not tip players from
their team as to the location of the members of the opposing team.
3) Headshots:
There are times when the only part a player will see is his opponents
head sticking out of a bush. It is at that person's discretion wether
to take the shot or not. While headshots
do count, it is not encouraged for safety reasons. Sac Airsoft would
recommend that players not take head shots.
A) Rule of thumb: If you don't want to get shot in the face with your
own rifle at the same distance, do not pull the trigger on anyone.
4) Blind Man:
Should there be a time when a person needs to take off his/her goggle,
mask, or safety glasses, they are to yell out "BLIND MAN!". That person
will then have to turn away from where the opponents are and walk back
50 paces from where they were or walk back to their respawn point to
fix issues with the person's eye/face protection.
A) If any player spots an opponed not wearing any eye protection, do not shoot them.
***Violations of these rules constitute cheating and/or unsportsmanlike
conduct and will be subject to penalty…See the policy for the violation
